This is my family in 1961.
I'm 8, on the left.
I have never seen this picture before.
Mary and I are in matching dresses.

a sugar factory in Belle Fourche, South Dakota in the 1940s.
Isn't this a nice photo of him?
A South Dakotan native, I guess.
at LDS Hospital for many years.
The Flamingo casino in Las Vegas.
Maybe they went to see Rachel,
but got to town a little early...
This was taken in 1914 at Saltair.
Daddy Cannon is in the center, Nana on the right,
but this was before they were married.
Hester, Grandfather's sister, is to the left.
Grandmother Cannon's sister Vilate is laughing.
I don't know who the other two people are.
and his wife, Mary Ann Elizabeth Driver.
They are Grandmother Cannon's parents.
I will guess that this picture was taken in 1910 or so.
Joseph, known as Jody, was one of 30 children.
Her dress is fabulous, but I wonder if the backdrop is real.
The bear skin she's standing on probably is.
He and his wife Charlotte had 17 children.
He died in 1921, and I suspect this photo might have been taken in 1920.
I have spent the last 12 months writing a biography of him.
I'm almost finished!
photos from Aunt Maydae.
Maydae always called Mary, "Mary Elizabeth."
Great name -- and Mary is now embracing that.
We all miss Virgil. He was a good dog.
This is another photo I have never seen before.

These are beautiful pictures! I want, I want, I want.
I had so many comments about this post I decided I shouldn't keep them to myself :)
It made me smile that you were scanning during Conference. You are such a consistent person. I'm always impressed.
It's so exciting to me that you have so many photos of so many of you. Some of them I just think: wow! You see these things in museums and on Church websites about the pioneers! So cool!
Picture details:
- The picture with your grandpa and that random man--hilarious :)
- The clothing in all of the pictures: so classic!
- Mary looks so pretty in the picture you have of her
- I'm always amazed at how many prominent members of the church you're related to. What great stories :)
Wonderful post :) Happy Conference!
Amazing pictures!
So fun to see these photos I never even knew existed. Thanks for all your hard work, Julie.
Jose -- you're right -- you can always count on Julie to upload photos on conference day -- one more reason to look forward to conference.
Thanks for posting these. I am really enjoying all of the photos that you have been posting (even if they are not so flattering of me).
My favorite is the one of them in the water at Saltair in 1914!! Amazing. I love it!
thanks for sharing! Those pictures are so fun to see. I will make sure Douglas and Kay see them also. You are inspiring!
