A Few of My Favorite Things

We have been very busy.  Making bagels was on Camille's list of things to do.
I taught her how to shape the bagels on the end of a utensil.
I don't usually have this much fun cooking with kids.
The kids did an excellent job!
The finished bagels were scrumptious.
The girls enjoyed watching the birds visit our deck.
Sometimes the hummingbirds watch us back, but mostly they eat.
After breakfast, we went to the pool.  I bought new guns.
You might think I needed to duck.  Nope.
Papa Ben was the target.
Kyle improvised.
Everyone got in on the act.
Some of us actually swam.
Adele wants to learn.
I wished I looked this awesome in my sunglasses.
We had Cafe Rio for lunch.  Enough said.
My toys are still captivating.
Today we went to the zoo.
I have my favorite mammals to watch.
There is always something new.
Hogle Zoo has dinosaurs on exhibit.
They are surprisingly loud!
Sometimes it's a little fun to be scared.
These dinosaurs shake.  They look real.  They are very noisy!
This one was moving, howling, and getting some dental work done, all at the same time.
We couldn't take our eyes off them.
Adele finally found a quiet animal.
She even got a little aggressive with a dinosaur descendant.
I got a little aggressive with my zoom lens.
Everyone got lost but Kyle and me.
This happened while we were being watched.
Kyle and I found a baby orangutan.
Finally, Papa Ben got un-lost.
These two were never actually lost.
One of my most favorite things to do is ride the train.
And I got to do it with these people!
It was hard to say good-bye.
After the zoo, we went to This Is The Place Park and had a picnic.  Just before it started to rain.
We came home and had a Star Trek marathon.  Bliss.

Company Comes!

Adele is here!
Her family arrived just in time for dinner.
After dinner, we went on a walk.
We saw a baby killdeer.
Of course we fed the fish.
It can be quite the balancing act.
Everyone wants to help.
You  might be surprised at how exciting this is.
Camille jumped between rocks.
I am already having so much fun!
They brought Steve.
And of course Kyle is here, too.
After our walk, we had toasted coconut on vanilla ice cream.  And a cookie.

Thank you, Julie. You're Welcome, Louie.

Did I really want to start this last post of Steve's visit with another picture of my groupies watching Star Trek?  I sure did.  We'...
